Boss Alex Smith was delighted with the performance of the entire team in Saturday's 4-0 win over St Mirren but on Monday he highlighted the contribution of one of the unsung heroes of the recent Tangerines' revival.
Quite rightly the individual displays of the likes of Charlie Miller and Jamie McCunnie were highlighted in the Press, but Alex felt Danny Griffin's display was a vital ingredient in the emphatic victory. "Danny anchored the midfield brilliantly and, as well as stopping a lot of St Mirren attacks, he was the starting point of a lot of what we did", said Alex. "In a very short space of time he has become a very good player for us and he is doing a good job in that role."
