After the disappointment of defeat in Monday night's relegation battle at St Mirren, skipper Jason de Vos was off on his travels on Tuesday when he flew to Egypt to join up with the Canadian international squad.
In the Middle East he will play against either South Korea or Iran on Thursday night as part for a four team invitational tournament. The bad news for the big centre-half, though, is that his involvement could cost him his place against Motherwell on Saturday.
"Earlier in the season Jason came back from a long journey just before a game against St Johnstone and looked very tired. I said then I wouldn't play him again under those circumstances, so now I've a decision to make," said boss Alex Smith.
While bitterly disappointed at seeing the lead over St Mirren cut to just one point at Love Street, Alex has remained upbeat about the battle to beat the drop. "We are still a point ahead of them with a better goal difference and we know if we win our remaining games they can't catch us."
