LOVE STREET CRUNCH

23rd April 2001

Boss Alex Smith is looking for a quality performance when his Tangerines try to open a seven point gap to bottom club St Mirren at Love Street on Monday night.

"If we win we will be close to safety and that has to be the aim. However, it's win or bust for St Mirren, so we know it will be tough and a first class display is going to be needed," he said.

As well as suspended pair Charlie Miller and Jamie McCunnie, striker Paul Robinson will be missing because of a knee problem.

Miller and McCunnie flew out to Poland with the Scotland party on Monday afternoon and are expected to make their respective full and under-21 international debuts over the next two days.
