United face Celtic in the William Hill Scottish Cup Quarter Final on
Sunday 8th March at 3.30pm and tickets are still available. The backing of the Tangerine Army, which has been fantastic this season, will once again prove vital as the Terrors go up against Celtic in the first of a triple header which will shape both clubs’ seasons.
Although the Terrors come into the game on the back of a disappointing defeat at home to Partick, we only have to look to Celtic’s recent visit to Tannadice to find our nearest victory over the Glasgow team. It was goals by Armstrong and Ciftci that secured the 2-1 victory but the manner of the performance was the key that day. Grit, determination and belief was allied to our undoubted skill and that will all be in attendance again this
coming Sunday according to Manager Jackie McNamara.
He said: "What better game to get back to what we do best than a quarter final of the William Hill Scottish Cup versus Celtic. We have shown we can compete and defeat them and we will show that same fight and desire come
Sunday. Our fans have displayed so much passion this season and they can again act as the extra man in what will be a fantastic match.”
