After a tough run of results during March, a new month is upon us and, after recharging during the international break, the team get ready to go again when they welcome Ross County to Tannadice.

It’s the start of an important run of games in the city for United, with this one being closely followed by the short trip across the road to Dens and then Hamilton again back at Tannadice a week later.
As we chase down a European slot we can’t afford to look too far ahead and Ross County will not be taken lightly. Jim McIntyre’s side have been on an excellent run of form lately which has dragged them away from the foot of the table. In contrast to the hosts, County, it could be argued, won’t have welcomed the two week break due to their run of good results leading up to it. The Tangerines will hope this means their momentum has been lost but in order to secure the win we’ll need to play to our capabilities.
For what will be his 100
th game in charge, Jackie McNamara has choices to make all over the pitch having had to reshuffle the pack significantly over the last month due to injuries and suspensions. Failure to overturn a red card Ryan McGowan received at Celtic recently means he’ll miss out, with John Souttar potentially ready to come in. It will also be interesting to see if any of the young guns Telfer, Connolly, Spittal and Muirhead are used to add some energy and enthusiasm to the attacking play. A place in the starting eleven may come just too soon for Mario Bilate but a place on the bench is a possibility.
Numbers at Tannadice this season have been strong and at times the vocal backing has spurred the side on to some notable results at home. Let’s back the team as much as we can and if we can encourage the side to victory we may be able to look forward to the latter stages of the campaign with relish at the prospect of European football returning to Tannadice.
Come on United!!!
