A first half Robbie Muirhead strike was enough for United to collect the three points and regain fourth spot in the Scottish Premiership table. By Joe James
United made only one change to the starting eleven that last week lost to Celtic, Nadir Ciftci returning from suspension and Chris Erskine dropping out of the match day squad after picking up a knock against the reigning Scottish Champions.
The goal came in the 14th minute when John Souttar's perfectly placed lofted pass bounced nicely for Robbie Muirhead to drill his shot into the back of the net.
Muirhead again came close in the second half, however, his acute angled shot was well saved by Aberdeen goalkeeper Scott Brown.
