United went down by the odd goal in three against QPR in a vastly entertaining pre season friendly at the Hive tonight.
The Londoners went ahead in 19 minutes following a greatly timed run beyond the United defence by Phillips who rounding Zwick before slotting home. United's response was impressive and the equaliser in 31 minutes, created by Souttar and finished with aplomb by Bilate was no less than the Tangerines deserved as they finished the half arguable the strong side.
The ever impressive Zwick, who had denied the 'R's time and again, was beaten by a header from Luongo in the 64th minute and, as the game raged from end to end, both teams had chances to increase their score before the final whistle sounded.
This was a performance that will have satisfied the 350 plus Arabs who made the trip to the game and they showed their appreciation for the team's performance with rousing applause at full time. The records will show a defeat for United but with the focus on the upcoming campaign there was plenty to make Arabs feel optimistic about the season ahead.
