United are on course to be unchanged for Saturday's vital visit to St Johnstone after teenage fullback Jamie McCunnie stepped up his training on Thursday.
The 18-year-old was still working on his own, but will train with the rest of the squad on Friday morning and that should confirm his place in the starting line-up for McDiarmid Park.
Meanwhile, although the fans may have one eye, or ear, on events at Love Street where an Aberdeen victory over St Mirren would spell safety, manager Alex Smith has promised his team will concern themselves only with their own game. "We know that three points for us confirms we are safe, so it will be easy for us to focus on our own business without thinking about anything that may be happening elsewhere."
Saturday's game will be midfielder Craig Easton's last of the campaign after it was confirmed he will miss the May 20 visit to Aberdeen through suspension.
