Columnist Joe James takes a look at United's opposition tomorrow.
Nickname: Killie
Manager: Gary Locke
2014/15: 10th
Their season so far...
It has been a season of real ups and downs for Killie so far this campaign. Although they've been able to record decent results at Tynecastle and Celtic Park earlier this season, Gary Locke's side are currently situated precariously in tenth position, just a single point above Motherwell, who occupy the relegation play-off spot.
Who to watch out for...
Since scoring the goal that sent Northern Ireland into next year's European Championships in France, striker Josh Magennis has found real confidence in his game - scoring an impressive tally of seven goals in all competitions as well as chipping in with the odd assist.
In previous meetings, the physical forward has caused a fair few problems for the United defence, and with his rise in form lately he could once again prove to be a handful.
Last meeting..
The sides first met this season in early September, in a game that frustratingly saw United miss out on the three points late on. It was Kilmarnock who opened the scoring, Kallum Higginbotham blasting into the roof of the net from a penalty. Just beyond the hour mark however, United drew level when Billy Mckay also converted a spot-kick. Much to the frustration of Arabs inside Tannadice, McHattie's 88th minute sucker-punch saw the visitors leave Tannadice with all three points in the bag.
The squad...
Goalkeepers: MacDonald, Ridgers, Brennan
Defenders: Barbour, Smith, Findlay, Connolly, Westlake, O'Hara, Ashcroft, McHattie, Syme, Hodge, Balatoni
Midfielders: Hamill, Robinson, Obadeyi, Splaine, Slater, McKenzie, Kiltie, Higginbotham, Johnston, McKenzie
Forwards: Boyd, Magennis
Last three meetings...
United 2 - 1 Kilmarnock
Kilmarnock 3 - 2 United
United 3 - 1 Kilmarnock
