United will be looking to give their fans some festive cheer when Motherwell come calling to Tannadice for a Boxing Day encounter this Saturday.

A home win is almost a must after last weekend's gut wrenching draw at Inverness, when a last minute leveller denied United a much needed three points. The last five games have certainly been better however the points tally hasn't, meaning the visit of Motherwell is vitally important.
United have Killie in their sights, as are Motherwell, however this was made tougher when Mark McGhee's men secured a surprising but deserved win at Celtic Park last weekend. Motherwell's new manager has made an impact and has proven that a good run can make a huge difference. United need to now go on a similar run. However this will once again be a stern test for the Terrors.
Despite the league position the squad should be in good spirits after what was a decent result in the Highlands and hopefully this will trigger a winning run. Dow and Paton remain out but the squad is improving with players returning to full fitness and Guy Demel looking the part.
United will take heart that they beat Motherwell earlier in the season. A Louis Laing own goal and a Simon Murray effort handed United a win early in the season and Arabs everywhere would love a similar result on Saturday.
Let's get right behind the boys.
C'MON UNITED!!!!!!
