Defender Jamie Robson today secured a contract with Dundee United until May 2018. The 18-year-old signed professional in July 2014 and has been at Tannadice since arriving from Dundee FC as a 12-year-old.
Mixu Paatelainen, Head Coach of United, said “Jamie is a young talented player who can continue his development here. He has first team experience and will get more in the future. He is quick, honest and has a great attitude. I look forward to continuing to work with him for the benefit of both him and the Club.”
A clearly delighted Robson revealed talks over a new contract had been ongoing for a while stating, “I had initial talks with the previous management team and I am delighted the new Head Coach has come in and liked the look of me.
“I’m so happy to have signed and I can now focus on developing here and doing my best to ensure that I play my part in helping the Club achieve all of its goals.”
Robson joins fellow development starlets Harry Souttar and Brad Smith who recently pledged their long-term future to the Tangerines.
