MIXU WINS MONTHLY LADBROKES AWARD

Head Coach Mixu Paatelainen has been named the Ladbrokes Premiership Manager of the Month for February 2016.

Mixu guided United to two wins and a draw in four Premiership fixtures during the month as United closed the gap on the team above them to eight points. This completes a fantastic double for the Club as Paul Paton secured the Ladbrokes Premiership Player of the Month award also. The Gaffer has previously won Manager of the Month on three occasions, twice as Manager of Hibernian and once as Kilmarnock Manager. He also won Manager of the Year in 2011. Speaking to dufc.co Mixu said, "I appreciate the award, it is very nice however I am only a small part of the relative success of February. This award is for the whole Club. The players particularly, backroom staff, coaching staff, everybody. "The fans have also really played their part. The fantastic backing has always been there but it helps so much. We are all in this together, we are United."
