More than 4,000 of Dundee United’s 10,500 William Hill Scottish Cup semi-final ticket allocation has been sold on the first day of sales.
The Season Ticket holder exclusive buying period opened this morning at 9am and runs until 5pm on Tuesday 5th April. Tickets have sold at a great rate.
From 9am on Wednesday 6th April any remaining tickets will be launched for sale to the wider support base and general public. Tickets currently remain available to season ticket holders in the North, West (very limited availability) and South Stands.
A Club spokesperson said: “It’s a very exciting to be involved once again in the semi-final of the country’s domestic cup showpiece. The team is likely to be backed yet again in very good numbers given the initial demand we are witnessing and we hope that every supporter that can go will indeed make the journey to Hampden to back the team. While season ticket holders naturally take priority at this moment, we do expect to have availability for other supporters from Wednesday onwards.”
The Ticket Centre will be closed along with the rest of the Club between 10am and 12 noon on Tuesday 5th April to allow staff to pay their respects at the funeral of lifelong fan and former Club director Derek Robertson. Supporters should note that the Ticket Centre will extend its closing time to 6pm on Tuesday 5 April to allow supporters to purchase tickets after work.
