More than 2,000 Dundee United supporters have snapped up their 2016/17 season ticket with over four weeks of the Early Bird period still to go.
The Terrors will attempt to bounce back from relegation at the first time of asking in what will prove to be an extremely tough Ladbrokes Championship but already fans are showing they are up for the challenge.
Season ticket sales passed the 2,000 mark on Tuesday afternoon and totals are currently ahead like for like on last season’s totals.
Season ticket sales are vital in ensuring Manager Ray McKinnon has the full budget to work with for rebuilding his squad ahead and United fans are showing backing to the new Manager as he attempts to guide United back into the Ladbrokes Premiership within one season.
Ray said, “I am delighted that United fans are purchasing their season tickets in such numbers. It isn't surprising as they support the Club through thick and thin and are again showing their passion for the team. I am looking forward to putting a team on the park they can be proud of.”
General Manager David Southern said, “We thank each and every fan for their continued support. Our supporters felt a lot of pain last season and we are all focused on delivering better this coming season. With 2,000 already sold, it gives everyone at the Club a boost and if we keep selling at the current rate we will not only have a large and noisy Tannadice every league game but the Manager will be able to bring in the players he is currently pursuing.”
The Early Bird period runs until Sunday 3rd July, 2016 and renewing your season ticket within this period ensures you keep your seat. All existing seats will become available to the general public after this date.
