Dundee United today announced that four young stars had penned new deals at the Club.
Scott Allardice(May 2019), Gavin Ritchie(May 2019), Louis Appere (May 2020) and Josh Donaldson (May 2020) have all secured their immediate football futures at Tannadice.
Midfielder Scott (20) joined the United Academy in 2010 and has played 18 times for the first-team. He spent the end of the 2017/18 season on loan at East Fife.
Attacker Louis (19) joined United in 2016 from AM Soccer and made his first-team debut against Cowdenbeath in the Betfred Cup in August 2017.
Defender Gavin Ritchie (18) has been with the Academy since the age of 9 and made his first-team debut versus Linfield in the Irn-Bru Cup in October 2017.
Academy graduate Goalkeeper Josh (18) featured on the bench in the final two games of the 2017/18 campaign and has represented Scotland at various under-age levels including being in the under 21 squad for the recent Under 21 UEFA Championship qualifier versus Andorra.
Manager Csaba Laszlo said, "I am happy to have these young players signed. I believe all have the potential to be first-team regulars for Dundee United and if they show they want it and continue to show dedication and hunger to succeed, then they can be a success at United and progress into the first-team matchday squad.”
