Dundee United have signed, subject to international clearance, midfielder Morgaro Gomis until the end of the season. The 33-year-old joins with the focus of helping United achieve promotion and becomes Robbie Neilson's third January signing.
He is a well-known face around Tannadice having played for United on two previous occasions. Gomis featured in United's Cup-winning team in 2010 during four years at the Club before returning in the 2013/14 season.
He went on to play under Robbie Neilson at Hearts before a loan period at Motherwell preceded two years in Malaysia with Kelantan. A season followed with Sur Club in Oman before Morgaro was invited to train with United recently.
Morgaro said, "I immediately felt at home coming back here, and I aim to help United get back into the Premiership. I think I come back a more mature, better player with more composure and experience and I look forward to playing in front of the United fans again."
Head Coach Robbie Neilson said, "Morgaro has been in for a few weeks showing us what he can bring to us. I know him well from the past, but I wanted to judge him on merit as to what he can bring us now. His fitness levels are excellent, and he will add competition in the midfield area for us."
Morgaro will wear the number 13 for United.
