Dundee United Community Trust (DUCT) is delighted to continue its close relationship with Radio Tay's Cash for Kids Charity.
Over the festive period, DUCT assisted the charity's Mission Christmas Campaign, as a result of which many vulnerable local children received gifts for Christmas. Without the help of Cash for Kids, its unlikely these children would have received a gift. Cash for Kids and DUCT have also previously partnered up on Cash for Kids Super-hero Day and in tackling holiday hunger.
In late 2020, Cash for Kids launched the Winter Fund to supply food, heating and essentials to vulnerable children in the Dundee area and DUCT is very grateful to have received a grant of £1,600 which will provide vital supplies as we continue our collective recovery from Covid-19.
Dundee United Community Trust Chief Executive Jamie Kirk said: “There’s a real synergy about our partnership with Cash for Kids and we’ve now been working together for around five years to support each other to deliver shared outcomes, particularly in supporting people experiencing tough times. We’re really appreciative of the grant funding support via the Winter Fund and look forward to providing this much needed support to local children, young people and their families.”
The Community Trust has already received referrals for this project which will see food and other essentials delivered over the coming weeks but if there is anyone else in need of support please do get in touch at enquiries@dundeeunitedct.co.uk.
