Dundee United are pleased to announce four of our up-and-coming youngsters have put pen to paper on new contracts with the club.
Bryan Mwangi
Bryan Mwangi will remain with the club until the summer of 2025 after signing a new two-year deal.
Signed from Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale, the technically gifted attacking midfielder has enjoyed a fabulous campaign with the Young Terrors after battling his way back from a long-term foot injury.
Mwangi's scintilating form at U18 level has presented him with the opportunity to join the first-team on a full-time basis.
Craig Moore
The club's youngest-ever player to start a competitve match, Craig Moore has signed a one-year extension.
Moore, who raised eyebrows with his tenacious performance at Ibrox, has captained the Young Terrors with distinction throughout the past two seasons, scooping the U18s Player of the Year for the 2021/22 campaign.
A regular fixture within first-team training, the 17-year-old midfielder embarks on an exciting 12 months ahead.
Layton Bisland
Layton Bisland is the next promising Academy graduate to commit his future to the club for the 2023/24 season.
A combative and athletic full-back, Bisland has enjoyed spells across various levels of the SPFL pyramid with Brechin City, Cowdenbeath and Peterhead, whilst also cementing himself as a mainstay with Dundee United B.
Last season alone, he made 29 appearances in senior football, bagging six goal contributions in the process.
Ruairidh Adams
Finally, Dundee United B shot stopper Ruairidh Adams will remain with the club for a further 12 months.
Adams was snapped up by United from Hutchison Vale Boys Club in 2021, having made his senior debut for the Edinburgh-based outfit at just 16.
Whilst on loan with Lowland League outfit Gala Fairydean Rovers last season, he was part of the side which claimed the East of Scotland Cup - the club's first piece of silverware since the merging of Gala Rovers and Gala Fairydean in 2013.
Departing Players
A number of Academy graduates will also be leaving the club upon the expiry of their contracts this summer.
Dundee United B players Darren Watson, Finn Robson, Jacob Comerford and Adam Hutchison depart with our best wishes, whilst U18s Jamie McCabe, Stuart Heenan and Arron Donald also move on for pastures new.
