The Club can announce plans for our 2024/25 pre-season schedule, with three friendlies confirmed as Jim Goodwin prepares his squad for the new William Hill Scottish Premiership campaign.
Players Return
With a personalised training program to adhere to during the off-season, the players are set to reconvene on Monday 17 June at our St Andrews Training Centre, marking the official start to pre-season.
Brechin City v Dundee United
As previously announced, the Terrors will take to the field for the first time since raising the Championship trophy aloft by facing The Hedgemen at Glebe Park at 2pm on Saturday 22 June.
The Angus side saw only a marginally inferior goal difference agonisingly prevent them from retaining the Highland League title and claiming a place in the Pyramid Play-Off last term. Their remarkable winning run of ten consecutive matches was the longest in the division.
Arabs are permitted to attend the match, with full ticketing details available HERE!
Dundee United v Annan Athletic
This will be followed by a closed-doors friendly against Annan Athletic at our St Andrews Training Centre at on Saturday 29 June.
The Galabankies will make the journey north to Tayside for a closed-doors friendly on the final weekend of the month.
Led by lower-league stalwart Willie Gibson, who will carry on his 23-year playing career by combining a duel player/manager role, Annan head into the new season buoyed by the retention of their League One status after battling with Stirling Albion to avoid the drop into League Two.
Attendance is strictly limited to officials of both clubs.
Training Camp
The squad will also head down to the North West of England for a four-day training camp, with Jim Goodwin’s men basing themselves at Mottram Hall during the first week of July. The training camp will be rounded off with a closed-doors friendly against English Championship opposition.
There will be a further announcement in due course with details of our final pre-season friendly match, to take place following our Premier Sports Cup Group Stage campaign.
Arabs can expect further updates on the team's pre-season activities as the club continues to gear up for our return to the William Hill Scottish Premiership!
