DUFCW | Sophie Timlin joins on loan from Celtic

Dundee United FC Women are delighted to announce the signing of Sophie Timlin, on loan from Celtic.

The defender heads to Foundation Park after progressing through Celtic’s Academy, culminating on her senior debut in October last year.

Timlin is predominantly a right back but can also play in a number of different positions and will look to make her debut for United tonight at Meadowbank against Hibernian in the Scottish Women's Premier League.

Head Coach Suzy Shepherd reckons Timlin can help the side massively this season. 

“I’m looking forward to working with Sophie this year. She is a player that can play a few positions, she’s confident on the ball going forward while also showing defensive attributes that can help the team.”
