Dundee United are thrilled to welcome the news that Sam Dalby has been named the William Hill Premiership Player of the Month for November.
After making a Deadline Day switch north of the border from EFL League One outfit Wrexham, Dalby has led United’s line with distinction.
The frontman seldom loses an aerial duel, tidily brings his teammates into play with his back to goal and shows a surprisingly sharp turn of pace for a striker of his stature when charging in behind.
He opened his account on Matchday Eight in our dramatic victory over Hibernian, and hasn’t looked back, with no other player in the division able to emulate his scoring exploits since.

Dalby found the back of the net against the Hibees once more in our opening match of November, converting a decisive spot-kick in second-half stoppage time to ensure United left the capital with a point.
The visit of Ross County six days later saw the 24-year-old continue his rich vein of form, racing onto David Babunski’s ball over the top and showing poise to slot beyond Ross Laidlaw and double our advantage over the Highland outfit.
He’d complete his haul for the month by planting a perfectly placed header into Jack Butland’s bottom corner, aiding United’s efforts to end a run of nine successive league defeats at Ibrox.
In writing his name on the scoresheet against Rangers, he also equalled Academy graduate Johnny Russell’s record, set in February 2013, of netting in four successive top-flight games.

Dalby is the first Terrors star to receive the accolade since Ian Harkes in September 2021.
EXCEPTIONAL SINCE HIS ARRIVAL
United Boss Jim Goodwin lauded the impact of his number 19, saying: "I’m not usually the biggest fan of individual awards in team sports, but on this occasion, it is richly merited.
"Sam has been exceptional since his arrival - the definition of a focal point for our attack. Before breaking his duck, his impact was colossal, but adding goals into his game has been the final piece of the puzzle. We’re delighted with his contributions and for him as a person.
"His style of play perfectly suits the nature of Scottish football, hence our eagerness to bring him to the club throughout the entirety of the summer."
He continued: "For the deal to be working so positively for both parties so far is incredibly satisfying, and thanks in part to his willingness to unreservedly buy into the project and club as a whole."
"We’re excited to see his progression during the remainder of the season - I’m sure there’s more to come from Sam."
I'M HONOURED TO RECEIVE SUCH A PRESTIGIOUS AWARD
Dalby himself added: "I'm honoured to receive such a prestigious award. I've enjoyed every minute of my time at Dundee United, and am delighted I have been able to contribute with a few goals. It's exactly what I wanted from this loan spell.
"My teammates have also played a huge role in our success so far, supporting me both on and off the pitch, so I'd like to express my gratitude to them - they've made me feel at home here.
"I'm excited to see what the rest of the season holds both personally and for us as a collective."
