Dundee United FC Women are delighted to confirm the signing of Daisy Hutchison from local club Dryburgh Athletic.
The promising defender made her debut in the Scottish women’s pyramid last season when she broke into the Dryburgh first team, winning their Young Player of the Year award at the end of it.
Hutchison joined Athletic from Dundee East and, after one season, heads to the top flight with United.
The 17-year-old will look to make her debut on Wednesday evening when United head to Meadowbank to take on Hibernian.
Head Coach Suzy Shepherd praised Hutchison’s defensive capabilities as she welcomed her to the club.
“Daisy is a young, aggressive centre back who I am looking forward to working with. She has a lot of good defensive attributes, and we will look to help her develop as a player as she makes the transition to top flight football.”
